Seward W Hopkins 1864-1919

The heist of all the wedding presents at a society wedding in the upstate New York town of Utica sends the town and its police into a tizzy; suspicion rests on two recent arrivals and guests of the bridal couple.

Published as a "full length novel" in the "Argosy" magazine of April 1916, and not, so far as I can tell, reprinted since. At 43,000 words it is close to full length novel length.

Intriguing picture of Utica in 1916, when trolley cars ran along Genesee Street and motor cars were still rare.
