As requested, here is an outline of the purpose of this thread:
We point out free and bargain romances to each other, and recommend certain books that are/were free (or the opposite!).
Because Kindle freebies are easiest to find, the majority of the books listed are from Amazon, but freebies and bargains from other retailers and in other formats are more than welcome! In case no retailer is specifically mentioned in a post, it is safe to assume it's for Amazon US.
Be aware that many freebies are only free for a day (or sometimes not even that long), so grab them fast!
In addition to the freebies, sales, and coupons we do a weekly purchased/read roundup (voluntary only, but its fun to use Calibres virtual library feature to take a screengrab in cover view ) We also discuss reading apps and devices, books, and life in general a bit in this thread. Sometimes we go off on seemingly unrelated tangents, but we always find our way back

Not here yet either so I'm baffled why this thread was started so early and the other closed so soon. It's only 6pm in the evening here.

It's by board time, the same as the last few years since we started with the annual threads rather than monthly.
I looked thru books I put into Calibre this year and I can not pick just one as the best. Impossible. So many of my favorite authors released multiple books this past year, I can't settle one one overall winner.

Just FYI, I purchased the new Julia Quinn (Four Weddings and a Sixpence) from Harlequin. But it downloads a Carina book. I've emailed customer service.

Is it possible to gift an ebook thru Kobo? If not them what other retailer sells epubs? Not including iTunes or B&N. Off the top of my head there are not any that I can think of.
