THE RUSSIAN HISENSE ISSUED A NEW FIRMWARE BACK IN JANUARY. IT HAS FBREADER AS MAIN READER YOU CAN READY MORE FORMATS, ROTATE THE BOOK. Pretty cool Android 1.6.
Just change the language in the settings to English.
I was not happy as the Fbreader has Russian icons. I managed this month to edit the icons to English script so the rom is fully English now. It also features nook style Icons. Also you can install open home 5 which works fine, facebook, stock email and browser on both screens. K9 email works fine on the lcd.
after you install the rom, run the fbreader. will give you a force close after install but works perfect on reboot.

How to:
Download the attached file and rename it update.zip and copy it to the root folder of your alex 'SD card.

1.) Power down
2.) Press and hold simultaneously the "right" and "return" button.
3.) While keeping pressed the two buttons, press and hold the power button.
Keep pressing these three buttons until the alex/hisense logo appears on the screen.
Release the power button.
Android system recovery utility will show up
4.) You will enter recovery mode. Release all buttons.
5.) Press forward button to select <<Apply update.zip>>+ back button to apply the update.zip
Hold on, until it's finished.

You are done! Enjoy full root access!

Soryy . I cant change system language pls help me . i can not use russian system.
I cant install. when i installed abfreader i saw " FBreader could not be installed on this phone" message. pls help me. how to change that icons
have you changed the language from settings?

i rooted before alexx an changed language but when i install fbreader it cannot do and pls help me how to use SDK alex
"application not insalled" i saw when i installed fbreader
just uninstal the original fbreader using titanium backup (you can backup first) than install again. it will install perfectly
updateROOT_1.6_rename2update-signed.zip (20.8 KB, 69 views)............ I used this file for root but i think i can not do or its not work. how can i do root?
