Guy Wetmore Carryl (4 March 1873 1 April 1904) was an American humorist and poet. He worked for Munseys and Harpers magazines, and contrbuted short stories, articles, and poetry to numerous other magazines as well. His best known works are the humorous poems that parody Aesops Fables, Mother Goose, and Grimms Fairy Tales.
