This thread is for pointing out free and bargain Comics to each other. Please don't post any self-published comics (unless you have read them yourself, think they are excellent, and you're not connected to the author in any way) and please do a search before posting to avoid duplicates.
Humble Bundle is often the source of comic bargains, but please do post links from anywhere you find them.
Keep in mind, most freebies last only for a day or two, so grab them fast!
Link to the 2015 threadThis post could have gone on several different threads, I suppose.
WargameVault, who "is part of a family of premiere online marketplaces including RPGNow, DriveThruRPG, DriveThruCards, DnDClassics, DriveThruComics, DriveThruFiction, and Wargame Vault." Together, they "have been selling digital and print-on-demand comic books, roleplaying games, and fiction since 2001."
Well, I found that they have 107 magazines and ebooks, including one or more comics, that are
free! Go to
this webpage to see the entire selection. There is a way to sort out the magazines from the ebooks--you can click on the appropriate links under "product type" in the top lefthand corner of
the above-referenced webpage.
Under the heading of "price," for some of them, you will see "pay what you want." Well, the sort that I did was for only
free items, so I guess "pay what you want" means that they're
free if you want them to be (HumbleBundle, are you listening?).
GtrsRGr8 isn't the comics type of person or a gamer (hasn't been since the early 1980's, when he was hooked on Space Invaders. ha). But, there is actually some non-fiction stuff among the selection, so maybe even GtrsRGr8 will find something for himself. Who knows?
Reminder that several of the huge sales end tonight.
Also, current podcast special is a free copy of The Deep #1 with code DEEPPOD.

I had better luck with
this link. Thanks for the reminder, it'd been a while since I checked them out.

Thanks. For the benefit of others, that's the link for the comics only.
There was actually a method to my madness. I had no intention of modifying the message and making a new post on all of the different threads (Non-Fiction, "Science Fiction/Fantasy,"
et al) for all of the different subjects represented in WarGameVault's list of freebies. I'm too lazy to have done even the little bit of work that that would have taken. ha It was going to be one size fits all--just one post. I chose "Comics," for some reason. Probably because I was the one who had re-started the thread some time back, but had made only one post (that I remember) since then. It was guilt. ha
Your post was helpful to me, though. The only thing that I had any personal interest in was the non-fiction choices (of which there were few). Going back to the website just now, I found that I had not bookmarked the webpage for the non-fiction only choices! I fixed that by bookmarking the webpage under a file that I have labelled, "Check these Frequently." Thanks, again.
