Mobileread
Poor Cool -er support here

I made a suggestion in the Feedback forum on how we can address the need of the people with a so call less "mainstream" reader. Here is the link.

I'm involved in lots of sites and setting up subsections/forums takes about five minutes to do.
Fine that you know what other sites do. But this is MobileRead, one of the most polite communities in the web and not another site! Decisions regarding the forum structure are made by the whole moderation team and will be implemented by the site owner. Please accept that.

This is blatantly admin people who can't be bothered or are too arrogant to listen to what people have requested. It is not an issue what the site owner is doing etc.
You are just wrong and you attacked me again. This time you can consider my response as a warning. Please read our posting guidelines, especially the topic "Discuss Things Politely".

One last thing - and i hope that this is a good message for all Cool-er owners here: There will be a place for the Cool-ER as well as for other devices soon.

Alicuth, as it seems you joined MR in March, 2008. Thus, if you gave this forum an occansional visit in the past few months you should have noticed how much this forum has changed and evolved.

The admin and mods do take requests into consideration. And if their decisions aren't up to your expectations either live with it or look around for another forum. MR definitely has no "monopoly" (what a ridiculous notion for a non-commercial project!) on whatsoever.

As the old saying goes, it's not what you say, but how you say it. Or, as the saying goes in German, you definitely didn't set the right tone ...

hermano and all others who requested a cool-er forum, please take a look in the thread in the feedback area for the latest (and hopefully welcome) news regarding this topic.

Of course non-commercial projects can have a monopoly or a virtual monopoly. And if you google on ebooks or similar you will end up at MobileRead so I would also say it has a virtual monopoly.

Agreed. And it's a good thing that even non-commercial projects can be that successful.

To be honest MR's listing in the google search results is not that good. But even with a top ten listing in the google search results for all ebook-related searches, how would that bring MR a virtual monopoly?
