Lately, I've been having a daydream of having a movie poster-size e-ink paper in color on the wall that features movie posters, refreshing every few hours or so.
How much would something like that be feasible?
A good color e-ink doesn't exist yet. No idea if it ever will.
There are large screens intended for such use --- but they are all LED or some similar technology.
Well, if you can accept monochrome...
It can be yours for about $1500.

The various colour filtered eink (4000 shades/hues) and later colour AECP (more shades/hues but very slow, up to 1.5 seconds) are best suited to poster applications, not ereaders.

Yes, the movie poster is available today if you have the money to waste. A 55″ 4K HDR on the wall with brightness adjusted by ambient light would be a lot cheaper and prettier. A shop with a load of eInk posters only changing every day or so saves a lot of electricity and it still works with street light or daylight when power is off.
I think the eink poster price might be comparable to a 75″ 4K HDR TV which uses a lot of power.
