Hello All,
I am trying to use Marvin SxS on an IPad Air 2 for mostly childrens books but I cant get them to display correctly.
I am using mostly ePub formats. I have attached the image of how it looks on my screen. In landscape mode its so small and wont display both pages (even though I changed the setting to). The portrait mode is still small too.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Can someone please help? Thank you!

I think there might be some confusion on what SxS really is. iOS won't let 2 versions of the
same software run at the same time. To get around this, the Marvin creator made a duplicate of Marvin, and called it SxS so that you can have two books open (one in each app) at the same time such as a reference book or dictionary. SxS does not do
anything different than Marvin.
Marvin (SxS) will
only display ePub format (and .cbx/.cbr for graphic novels/comic books) so make sure you are putting the book into proper ePub format. I know Marvin can display "multi-column" and split-view/slide-over, but I haven't seen it support displaying 2 separate pages at the same time...??
I'm thinking you are trying to display a Fixed Format ePub - not reflowable?? Marvin will display both types just fine, but it is very difficult to get a Fixed Format coded properly for
any reader to display. Without seeing the code used to create your ePub, we aren't going to be much help. I would recommend asking for help in the ePub forum where they can help with FF. (Warning - it's much more difficult than reflowable, so it'll be harder to find someone who is knowledgeable and willing to dive into your book...but you can certainly try!)
Thanks for the response. I am new to the whole ebook game so still trying to figure stuff out. Basically I am just trying to find a good app for children’s books. I will keep trying, thanks!
No worries.
Don't get me wrong, Marvin IS a good app for children's books. It's just that it's hard to find good children's books in the Fixed Format. There aren't very many people, or design apps that do a very good job creating them...
