Well, it looks like we'll be in lockdown for another month, maybe longer, so I thought I'd start compiling a list of resources for listeners of all ages. These will be overwhelmingly free listens. If any of you find other sources, please post them and I'll add them to this list.

Feel free to discuss the resources and how you're coping.

Stay safe and happy listening

FREE -- Weekly Offers (26 titles) -- details -- starts 30 Apr -- Sora app only

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+

Returning April 30th and continuing 13 weeks until July 29, SYNC gives participants two thematically paired audiobooks a week. In 2019, 28 titles were given away over 14 weeks.

SYNC introduces a variety of audiobook experiences to teens to demonstrate that reading can be completed by listening.

SYNC is sponsored by AudioFile Magazine and titles are delivered through Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive. In advance of accessing the program, download the app from Apple or Google, to the device you anticipate listening on and be ready to go!

There are other free audiobook resources. Overdrive and Hoopla are good resources if your library has them. Hoopla though may or may not have audiobooks depending on what your library is allowing with Hoopla. But Overdrive does have audiobooks.

Audible is streaming Stephen Fly's version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for free to subscribers. Apparently, they have a bunch of kid's audiobooks available for streaming.
