Ten year old Bob Taylor was miserable: bored with school, tired of chores at home. He fell asleep feeling grumpy and irritable. Hearing his name called, he awakes to find a green goblin in his room. Fitz Mee invites him to visit Goblinland, so off he goes to the land where you do as you please.

James Ball Naylor (1860-1945), one of the most well-known authors in America at the turn of the twentieth century, wrote poetry, novels, short stories, and children’s books. A country doctor in Ohio, he was also a political force, as a candidate as well as a newspaper columnist and speaker.
