The fourth and last Colin Gray Indian Frontier adventure, which takes place 2 years after the events in "King Cobra."

Mongol Chieftain Suleman Khoon has been marshalling Moslems from Egypt to Mongolia to his cause, on the grounds that he is the descendant of the mighty Ghenghis Khan.

He has in sight the excavation of the entrance to the half buried city of Prester John and its vast wealth, which he will use to overthrow British rule in the East, and even conquer Britain itself!

But Colin Gray, his wife Diana (whom Khoon lusts after), and a small black cat, are on their way to foil his plans. Lurking in the background (several backgrounds!) is a mystic sadhu who seems to be, simultaneously, a Cairo based Greek expert on Egyptian religion, specially Bast the cat goddess, a Tibetan monk, and also probably dead.

Good fun, but with a high body count!
