actually, just realised that I am running version 1.2.00.18050 assume this is the latest version?

Sorry, I didn't check this forum yesterday. The version I've got is 1.1.00.18040_a, so you appear to have a newer version. I wonder if you have a non-U.S. version? At any rate, if you find you still want (or need) the 1.1.00.1840_a, I can send a link to it via PM.
EDIT: Looks like you used to be able to download your version at this site...

i may just stick the one i have as it appears to be a newer one? it is from the UK
if i could somehow extract it i could send it to you if you like? but would need to know how to do that one

My main concern with the 505 is the ability to read ePubs and the 1.1.xxx update seems to handle that fine. Though it is interesting that a newer version was available overseas. I wonder what was different?
