Decrypting eReader books...
Anyone knows if there is anything other than pdbshred?
Pdbshred is good for old books, but the new encryption scheme makes it useless. I have several unread books I bought from ereader that I can't read with my Nokia 6600.
Alternatively, eReader/Motricity could release the Symbian version of eReader, which is stated as coming soon for a very long time...
interesting. I didn't even know of pdbshred before. Google came up with the following download link:
http://www.blackmask.com/archive/pdbshred.zipbspline, are you sue they changed the encryption scheme? I skimmed through the sources of pdbshred, and it seems ereader/palmreader support was never completed.
Yes, I'm positive. Some of the books I had already downloaded from them can be decrypted with pdbshred, while others cannot. Most of the new downloads already have 32-bit encryption, with a few exceptions... I gather they update their encoding scheme with some frequency.
I find eReader's DRM the least obtrusive, and their prices are usually better than the competition, but I might go back to using LIT files, which can be decrypted with more ease...
I'm reading more and more on my Phone, it's a bit small but you get used to it.
