Very funny book I lucked across on Gutenberg. The title was fascinating and so I started reading it. Then after about 25 pages I knew I had to have it on my reader. Tongue in cheek writing in the same hilarious style as The houseboat on the styx by the same writer.

This book has everything, from Aunt Jurasha starving the young Methuselah with Christian Science, to his gorilla nanny, to Adam's grudge against clothing, to Noah's mad International Marine and Zoo Flotation Company scandal, to Cain's jokes ("Why is an oyster like an elephant?"). Aside from its humour, this book is entirely accurate in all those aspects in which I am qualified to judge as a Bible scholar...

Made me laugh quite a bit this one. I highly recomend.

And yes.. Its illustrated... I love the illustration showing Methusalehs stationery. (A ten ton slab)

Enjoy
