I got all the way to step 3. But that's where I got lost...

Bring Up Command Prompt
C:/Users/Myname/cd..
C:/Users>cd..
C:/>cd platform-tools
c:/platform-tools>adb
c:/platform-tools>adb devices
c:/platform-tools>adb shell
shell@android:/ $ pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.kobo.jit

I get
Error: Unknown option --user
I type in

shell@android:/ $ pm list packages

then it shows all my packages for the kobo

then type in su for root

root@android/#

I put in the

mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

nothing happens.
