#1  goreilly 04-18-2011, 03:53 PM
Yesterday, I got the following message on my irex NO Memory Card Found for the first time. I have reinserted the sd card, recharged the machine and also put in a new sd card but to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There has been someone before on this forum reporting that the card-reader inside the DR mechanically was broken. I do not remember the outcome anymore, you could try to search this forum for the old messages.

There is a slight change that the device fails to mount the card because the internal file system is not correct. Installation of a firmware update should fix this.

Latest DR1000S update is here: http://updates.irexnet.com/embedded/dr1000/latest.zip
Hi Gertjan,

You are pointing to the latest R1.7.1 firmware not to R2.0rc3 is there a specific reason for that?
Latest Beta: http://updates.irexnet.com/beta/dr1000s/update-dr1000s-rc3.zip

update-dr1000s-rc3.zip (49.3MB)

Manual Download and Install for all operating systems
You will have to manually download and extract the firmware update onto your SD card.
Please follow these steps:
1. Download http://updates.irexnet.com/embedded/dr1000/latest.zip
2. Extract/copy the contents of this file to the root of your SD card (either while connected via USB, or by putting the SD card into your PC’s card reader).
Make sure that the System folder in the ZIP is extracted to the root of the card, creating a folder called ‘update’ inside your current System folder on the SD card.
3. Put the SD card into your device or disconnect the USB cable.
4. The device will detect the new firmware and ask to install it. Choose [Yes]. *
5. The update procedure will start and automatically complete, your device will reboot with the new firmware.
6. You can verify the new firmware version in Settings > About.
