Issue with .azw3 to .ePub
#1  eeereader 03-18-2023, 03:26 PM
Hi,

Trying to convert this book (deleted) from .azw3 to .ePub but the pages are running long (using default conversion settings).

The file opens & displays fine in Kindle for PC, and am trying to get an .ePub for uploading to Google Play Books. When I open the nonDRM .azw3 file in Calibre, it does not display correctly.

The log file is here: deleted
Thanks

OTOH, unless the book is public domain or explicitly permitted by the author/rights holder, you might want to reconsider uploading it to Google Play Books.

Considering the log file says you are attempting to convert Geronimo Stilton #8: Attack of the Bandit Cats which is definitely a copyright book, I would suggest not asking for help on converting it.

Good point. Here is a similar .azw3 file for reference with the same issue, that is scrambled so as not to have any issues with copyright:

It's not a matter of copyright per se, it's a matter of you asking for help with ebook piracy. That is explicitly not permitted in the MobileRead FAQs.

OTOH, looking at your scrambled book, you did notice that it is nothing but a collection of images?

In any case, I won't use any of those bit.ly links. In order to access what's behind them, the links need to be openly posted.

It was your fault for not (reading and) following the guidelines.

The site owner offers us its use FREE of charge. He does not want Lawyer bills from copyright holders, which is why the rules.

Follow the rules and we are glad to help.

See what theducks wrote. No one wants to deal with lawyers.
