Another digital content provider bites the dust (or purchased by Amazon/Audible?) I just received this by email:

To our customers:

To serve you better and introduce great audiobooks to new listeners, we are making some changes here at AudiobookStand. Most of what you will see are enhancements to our website and mail catalog. In the months ahead our coming web site redesign will still feature a great selection of new titles. We hope our improved website design will provide you a better look at titles that are coming soon, best sellers, and exclusive sales. We are excited to announce that we will also have a much larger selection of low priced titles. Audiobook lovers will have access to more titles and lower prices, and new listeners can explore a variety of genres at a lower cost than they could before. They can simply chose titles from our deep discount selection.

One service we will no longer provide is digital downloads through our website AudiobookStandDL.com. But if you love downloads and that method of listening fits your needs, don’t worry. You can choose from over 150,000 titles at Audible.com.

If you have bought downloads from us on AudiobookStandDL.com in the past, please make sure you have downloaded and saved all your audiobook downloads by November 30, 2014. After this date you will not be able to access your previous purchases from your AudiobookStandDL account. If you haven’t already done so, you will need to install the Overdrive Media Console on your computer to allow you to download your Audiobooks. Need it? Get it for Windows only here: http://app.overdrive.com/downloads/ODMediaConsoleSetup.msi

We are committed to continuing to offer you great audiobooks at affordable prices.
Thank you for being an AudiobookStandDL customer

Interesting. AudiobookStandDL is owned by Brilliance Audio, which in turn is owned by Amazon. Looks like Amazon is tidying house and eliminating a duplicate service.
